With so much turning upside down for Ruchi and Brian’s wedding plans, Jana and I wanted to do everything in our power to still honor their vows and love them in the midst such an unprecedented time. The large cerebration was postponed, the guest list was shrunk to immediate family and an allowable size, and Ruchi’s father’s house became the backdrop for the intimate and beautiful celebration of R&B becoming husband and wife.
Being welcomed into this family years ago for the wedding of Ruchi’s sister was and continues to be an astounding gift. The kindness, generosity, love, and appreciation I have received over the years has been overwhelming in so many ways. Last week, just before the stay-at-home order was put in place for Michigan, I spent two days with Ruchi and Brian, and their parents and siblings…and in spite of all of the difficulty and heartache that the coronavirus has created, it was humbling to witness the commitment these two have towards one another.
My friends, thank you for your trust in the midst of such trials. It was the honor and joy of Jana and I to support you in this way. We look forward to the rescheduled party! But until then, enjoy your quarantine as we will also. Stay safe and healthy.
