rob + kristen | wedding | ada, mi

i was thinking it right from the beginning....these two are models right? rob and kristen described it probably the best - 'we can be weird together, and we love it!'  it was a true honor to spend this past saturday with kristen and rob, and watch the joy and excitement they both shared in becoming husband and wife.

for me, there is nothing more powerful on a wedding day, than watching a groom's eyes tear up as he watches his bride walk down that long aisle to him, and for rob, it was no different!

and it has been a while since i have laughed that much on a wedding day - r&k, thanks for keeping me on my toes, for letting me join the party, and giving j-crew a run for their money, love you guys!

tim and jess hit the ground running.  they came to our engagement session with their game faces on, and by game faces, i mean...truly in love, full of joy, loving the moment faces! these two have a wonderful story of redemption and pursuit, and as we chatted while walking from location to location, i could tell that they were perfect for each other.  both funny, witty, alive, and trusting. they gave me an awesome opportunity to take their inspiration and creative ideas, and run with it. what an honor as an artist!  so here is a snapshot of our evening.  hope you enjoy!

matt+carly {fall.farm.fairytale}

changing colors and the beauty of a fall day in michigan - this was an amazing canvas to paint on with photos from the wedding celebration of matt & carly! i can remember a conversation i had with matt during their engagement session...when carly needed to run back to the car for something...listening to him speak of his to be bride - this man was in love.  he was in love in every sense of the word, from the romance that had started when they first met, to the commitment he knew he was making when taking carly's hand in marriage.  he was not only marrying her, but beginning a family with her two beautiful children.

i was so excited to be with them on this day...and to witness two families joining, surrounding this beautiful couple in love and encouragement.

bienvenidos al paraíso {beaches.&.bermuda.shorts}

oh mexico...as james taylor puts it, 'it sounds so sweet with the sun sinking low...' five years ago in june, i married my very best friend, jana kay.  after our wedding celebration, we slipped away to a small island off the coast of mexico and began our adventures as mr. and mrs. english.  we absolutely fell in love with the island, its colorful and authentic charm...the people, the water, the food, the beaches, the turtles*

seeing a chance to visit the island for a third time, celebrating our 5 years, we jumped at the opportunity and headed south of the border.  with our beautiful children in the hands of always fun and exciting grandparents, jana and i were blessed to take in a week of serene beauty and rest, just us...

meet matt & carly* these two couldn't be more fun or more in love!  when a couple is ready, willing, and happy to tromp through an unknown amount of forest shrubbery to get to some train tracks for a shot, you know you have two dedicated people on your hands!

when i first met my wife...it was, in a sense, a two for one special* chelsea and jana: best of friends, thick as thieves, two peas in a pod...

i had the honor of having chels on my side as i fell in love with, pursued, courted, married, pursued, pursued, pursued my beautiful bride.

and now, jana and i have the honor of being on her side as chelsea soon will become mrs. max garter! chelsea has found a new best friend in max...an incredible man of God and now truly a good friend of mine*

so good for each other, so overjoyed, so clear eyed and head over heals in love.

being a part of their story is truly a humbling honor.  cheers for best friends in love!
